There are several medical and dental associations across the country that endorse Berkshire Life Insurance Company of America and The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America for disability insurance. Make sure you include the name of any associations you belong to in the disability insurance request form.
High Income Doctors

The monthly maximum benefit a physician can receive on his or her disability insurance is $10,000 a month. Now there is a way for physicians earning higher incomes to obtain more than $10,000 in monthly benefits.

Retirement Protection Plus

This is not a pension plan. Rather, it is a program that provides disability income insurance that ensures that contributions continue to be made to your retirement plan even if you become disabled.

This product pays the amount you contribute now, plus the amount your employer contributes into an irrevocable trust during a period of total disability. The trustee then invests the funds in consultation with you, until you reach the age of 65. At that point the trust assets are distributed to you to supplement whatever you receive from your original retirement plan.

Employer Sponsor
Another way to receive a discount from the insurance company is through an employer sponsored plan. To establish a discounted plan the business needs to write a letter endorsing Berkshire, and when 2 or more people sign up the policies are discounted 10%. Every policy from that point on written on somebody in the same business gets the 10% discount.
